about

This tune was a written about the trouble the Bluegrass Police seemed to always be gittin' in with the Mrs. Bluegrass Police. Spending so much time in the doghouse soon made it a home away from home, and before long the duo would rather stay put than be forgiven! By the end of the tune, they have attracted a crowd of fellers who suffer a similar fate. It's a true story!

lyrics

Well I'm in the doghouse agin'
I'm in the doghouse agin'
Nothin' I say or do is right
All you wanna do is fuss and fight
I'm in the doghouse agin'

Take Fido's picture off the wall
Take the bone the water dish and all
Put my name above the door
Fodo don't live here no more
I'm in the doghouse agin'

Well I'm in the doghouse agin'
I'm in the doghouse agin'
She can yell and I can't hear
Playin' cards and drinkin' beer
I'm in the doghouse agin'

Then the rains begin to fall
"honey come home"
She calls from the door
"supper's ready"
Tellin' me to come in
"I baked a pie"
I yelled out "I can swim!"

I'm in the doghouse agin'
I'm in the doghouse agin'
Nothin' I say or do is right
All you wanna do is fuss and fight
I'm in the doghouse agin'

L:yin' here shiverin' in the cold
But it don't bother me at all
I'd rather lie here scratchin' fleas
Than crawl home on my knees

I'm in the doghouse agin'
I'm in the doghouse agin'
Nothin' I say or do is right
All you wanna do is fuss and fight
I'm in the doghouse agin'

about

Bluegrass Police Los Angeles, California

In the summer of 1986, in the hills of Pennsylvania, the Bluegrass Police were born. In pursuit of Hilarity the BGP poke fun at human behavior by touching on topics of racism, sterotypes, segregation, poverty, sexuality, brutality, domestic tension, etc. They poke fun at these human phenomena all the while denouncing the abuses. It is truly clever poetry crafted by Robert Gabig and Jack Bishop. ... more
